A bit about me:  Professionally, I am a Master Reiki Practitioner and RN-BSN. 

In my earlier careers I was an Environmental Engineer and a previous co-owner of an agritainment business that featured corn mazes, pumpkin patch, bakery & restaurants, etc... I am married to an amazing person and together we have 5 beautiful grown kids!

 Life is full of exploration isn't it? I'm one of those who is constantly excited about learning and doing new things.  I'm always enrolled in classes, reading books for learning, taking challenges to improve myself and trying to live life to the fullest! I have always been fascinated with the benefits of hypnotherapy for anyone trying to exchange bad habits for good or to make measurable changes in their lives.  I am taking a Clinical Hypnotherapist Certification class and will offer this soon, along with Past-Life Regression Hypnotherapy.

Like you, I am so many other things than a few titles I've received.  I am a health enthusiast with a peace loving spirit. I try to be healthy, although I do like treats--like pizza! I adore a great cup of coffee (or wine) with long talks and walks.  I love being with friends and family, traveling, foodie and experiencing new things.  I strive for a lifestyle filled with opportunity, possibilities and joy!  I have up days and down days like everyone.  I believe everyday we should wake with the intention that this will be our Best Day Ever!

How does Reiki fit in? ( I know...get to the point!)

Reiki came into my life when I was searching for a way to help patients heal quicker and more efficiently. In a yoga class, someone was talking about Reiki session she had to heal her knee. She healed her knee quickly and without medication intervention? That sounded intriguing, so I researched it.  I read books, articles, podcasts, talked to reiki practitioners and their clients, etc...  (Now you know I'm also a nerdy researcher!)

I came to understand that positive universal energy and its ability to heal you--whether emotional or physical pain--was a fascinating reality that many people in my medical profession did not understand.  This is eastern medicine and has to be sought out to learn. It is not a traditional western medicine practice unless you are working with an integrative medicine department.  I knew something this exciting had to be brought to more people, so I dove in!  I took classes, spent a year practicing on people, became a certified Reiki Level II practitioner and incorporated Quantum Touch healing.  Three years later became a Master Reiki Practitioner.  

 

Years later, I am still EXCITED and IMPRESSED how easily your body wants to respond and heal from this energy. This life-force energy uses vibration that resonates with your body's own energy fields to amplify and direct energy where it needs to go to promote optimal wellness.

I have always been passionate about helping people when they don't feel well, mentally or physically.  Growing up I was always researching herbal remedies for ailments and trying to help people feel better when they were sick.  Now, as a RN, in outpatient surgery,  I am passionate about helping my patients have the best surgical experiences, educating them on their healing process and giving them everything they need to be successful.  Part of my greatest privilege with my patients is to have the leave with peace, love and reiki to take with them.  This is just as important for healing.   Reiki works very well with other medical treatments; medication, chiropractic, acupuncture, etc... Many hospitals systems train RNs in Reiki or hire Reiki practitioners to be with patients before, during (in the OR) and after surgeries because they heal faster and better!

I combine Reiki healing with the Quantum Touch techniques for added benefits for my beautiful clients.  We should all feel as great as we can and live our best lives. Reiki helps us to achieve this when something is out of balance. Isn't it your desire to feel your best everyday?  Mine too!  We all have are on different journeys, but feeling great while enjoying them makes it so much better.

Through a variety of approaches, I unlock the potential of self-healing in each patient, sometimes resulting in improvements from the very first session. Trust my hands and the energy I use, trust your ability to heal and allow yourself to feel better than you ever imagined! 

   I also offer Tarot Card Reading, Vision board Workshops and Forest Bathing. 

If you have never heard of these modalities, check out my blogs here on this site to learn more!  I learned how to read tarot cards in the early 1990s from a Medicine Mans granddaughter- which I still think was a incredible spiritual opportunity to learn from her. I love the Tarot and what it can reveal to us who are seeking answers and guidance for our lives.  The cards never lie I can promise you that.  Sometimes you may get a direction or answer that doesn't make sense at the time, but in due time it comes together and you see the big picture.  I also use oracle cards with my clients to show them a snapshot of where they are right here in this moment and what course to take about it all.  It's fascinating!  I love to see my client's face light up when they read their card and can't believe how it is perfect for what is happening now.  Like I said, the cards never lie and they are always right on time!

A word about vision boards.  Do you like to manifest your best life?  The vision board is always the way to go.  It keeps you on track of bringing your yearly and monthly visions into a reality for you.  You will achieve far more per year when you have created your vision board! 

Forest bathing:  have you ever soaked up all the energy, peace and wisdom from nature and trees while being gently guided with a meditation?  It is possibly one of the most awakening divine experiences you can have.  You leave with oneness with nature and peace throughout your entire body and soul.  Read more in my blogs.
